Who is a Buddy?

A transfer agent of corporate culture who provides the new entrant with implicit knowledge of what is expected of them and what they in turn can expect from their organization.

A Buddy, Who has Accepted the Role of a Buddy, is

• Ideally from the same department and from the same peer group
• Makes himself/herself available to the new employee
• Is knowledgeable about the organization's culture, practices, procedures
• Is responsible for establishing interpersonal bond & foster mutual growth
• Often gives a pep talk!
